Cuban Art and Memorabilia Auction

The Cuban Art and Memorabilia Auction will be held on Saturday June 12, 2010 at the Crown and Anchor in Provincetown, Massachusetts. The format is a silent auction with items to be displayed for review all day Saturday with bidding to close at timed intervals starting around 4:30pm.

The auction will feature

• Vintage Cuban art
• Contemporary Cuban art
• Vintage Cuban memorabilia
• Other miscellaneous Cuba related items

NOTE: It is legal to import Cuban art into the United States and it is legal to sell Cuban art in the United States. Please read the legal opinion provided to our conference organizer attorney Robert Muse HERE.

We will open the event to the public at 4:15. The all day Saturday conference pass is only $50 so come for the day and enjoy the information sessions on Cuban art and take your time previewing the items in the silent auction.

Consign Items to Auction

We are looking for Cuban art, memorabilia, books and other Cuba related items for this rare Cuba auction. This is NOT a non-profit or charity auction. Consignors will keep 90% of auction sale price.

• Provincetown is world renowned for its art history and culture so a Cuban art auction is a great fit for Provincetown.
• The Conference and Auction will be well advertised in the Cuba "arena" and to the Provincetown population.
• Each auction item will have an item number, short description, photo if available, No Reserve/reserve price range and "consigned by" if wanted by consignor.

Please contact me to discuss the item(s) you would like to consign to the Auction. There will be a 10% seller's premium. There MAY be a 10% buyer's premium. The auction will be open to the public.

Auction terms and conditions

Sorry but no discounts on buyer's or seller's premium to 501(c) organizations, Sponsors, Exhibitors, Presenters or Advertisers.

Shill bidding will not be tolerated.

Consignors must guarantee authenticity of items.

• Sponsor will have signage behind auctioneer for the entire Auction.
• Sponsor will have sign in Auction preview room for the entire day on Saturday.

• Sponsor will be able to introduce himself/herself and company/organization then auctioneer before auction.
• One exhibit table included in Auction sponsorship.
